So-so, but not again for me. Great service and portions are great. The only thing that needs some improvement was the pork fried rice. It was dry and needs to have additional ingredients like bean sprouts and baby shrimp. I know dinner includes soup and egg roll but I think 9.55 and 10.55 is too much money for dinner compared to nearby restaurants. I can go to a Japanese buffet in Pembroke Pines for 12.99 with sushi, seafood, and dessert included.

There just isn't any good Chinese food 'round these parts... but we make do with this place because they deliver. That's the truth. We have also eaten in the restaurant and the staff is pleasant and attentive.

Food is tasty at a fair price! To be honest it is the first Chinese restaurant I eat in that the staff is super friendly. The best part of all is that we are within their delivery area!

Ordered delivery. Got one of those dinner combinations (honey garlic chicken)which I have gotten dozens of times from all different places so I had an idea of what to expect. Arrived faster than they said it would. At first I was confused because my chicken was dry with no sauce but then I found the sauce packaged separately. It's was unbelievably delicious, mainly honey with pineapple chunks in it and garlic. Fortune cookie was stale so it lost a star. We will absolutely be ordering again.

I had the Generals Chicken, it had a funky BBQ sauce taste to it, this is one of my favs, the chicken was all white meat and cooked perfectly, the sauce was like nothing I've ever tasted before, not in a good way. We also had 2 of the soups, they were just good, nothing great.

This place came very highly recommended so we were very excited to be there. The waitress was very unfriendly and rushed our order leaving several food related questions out. The food came out room temperature at best and everything had to be sent back. It was obvious that the food was literally put in a microwave, plate first, and given back. Everything was an up charge and a bit crazy. It took a well priced menu that got absurd. We noticed our waitress put her finger in food which was a turn off. Also food was ordered very spicy and came mild but we were afraid to send it back. Maybe think twice before landing here.

I`ve been to this restaurant many times over the last 12 years. Today, i officially will throw in the towel and never go back! Took my family there for lunch, the food was horrible. The ribs were not fresh and the food truly tasted bad. When i told our waitress she looked at me and simply walked away. The place was empty which should have been an indication this place is in decline. The owners don`t give a crap and it shows. In my opinion CS has seen its better days...

Amazing fresh Chinese food. I've eaten here for 4 years. They make a sweet sauce with fresh wonton chips when you dine in, it's delicious. My favorite meal is the honey garlic chicken with fried rice. Everyone should order from this restaurant. The prices are a plus too.

Fried rice was burnt, the chicken was super dry and tasteless, everything was tasteless. I wasted $40!!! First time there and totally disappointed!!!! Never going back again.

By far the best egg rolls I've ever had I could live on just their egg rolls! I've been eating here whether it be dining in or delivery for at least 15 years the food is amazing! I ordered the dinner combination and I don't eat soup I asked if I could get an extra egg roll instead no problem. My daughter ordered the Ala cart fried rice but wanted some white rice as well which they gave her no problem at no extra charge! Whenever I call for delivery they always say 45min which to me is fine but it usually shows up in 20. Best Chinese food in town!

We ordered delivery from South China for 3 years, until tonight. They cannot seem to get our order correct. Honey garlic sauce was forgotten for honey garlic chicken on 3 occasions and pork fried rice was substituted for white rice tonight. The woman answering the phone had no interest in correcting the issue. Instead I was placed on hold for 8 minutes after I told them I was calling in for a delivery issue. We ended up packing up the rest of the good and driving over there to return the entire order and ask for a refund. If it was the first time, fine. But four times in two months?!?! Sad to say, but never again.

This used to be the best for take-out. Tonight, the honey garlic chicken I ordered arrived as sweet and sour. The sauce was gelatinous and not tasty. The rice was hard and sticky. Never again.

What a shame.... South China has officially been crossed off my list. I wrote a review for South China in 2012. Yeah, it was basic Chinese/American food, but it was decent. The last few times we got delivery, I allowed things to slide, blaming the delivery time for the lack of quality and flavor. Well, they finished it off. This past week, I stopped in in person to get a lunch "to go". Pretty basic...Beef and Broccoli with pork fried rice, to go. I asked if I could upgrade my soup to Hot and Sour, and was informed that no soup came with the lunch special. "Oh...ok" I thought. When my lunch was handed to me 25 minutes later (not in 10 as promised), I asked where the Egg roll was. I was now informed, no eggroll came with lunch. Really? Nearly $9...a measly portion of 80% broccoli and a few pieces of beef...fried rice that had burnt rice balls in it that looked like ground beef....No egg roll...no soup....And more importantly, NO flavor. The "gravy" was brown water. Truly, a total ZERO lunch, and total rip off. Being a Food Safety instructor, I could not help but wonder how there can be burnt rice if it was cooked for lunch. Oh, wait! It was obviously left from last nights dinner service! Honestly, I was afraid to eat it. South China will never again grace my doorstep. Nor will I grace theirs. Now on to finding a new "go to" for delivery.... (I forgot to look...they used to encourage people to look at their reviews on Yelp. I have to wonder if that sticker is still on their door....)

Great Chinese food in the area. Has been open for a long time and is part of the community. They have some pretty authentic dishes. But at this point American Chinese food is basically the norm now.

My Mom and I had dinner tonight at the South China restaurant. The food and service were good but the entree I ordered was not what I expected. Instead of replacing it with what I wanted ordered the management ignored my complaint and then charged me for what I didn't want. This would never be accepted in NY. Instead of causing a scene I did say that I would never eat there again. They lost business over a big $8.95 entree! It's 6 months later and I decided to go back here since the wonton soup and crispy noodles to put in it were really good last time. I explained to the owner that I was very displeased last time and they made such a fuss over me! I had the lunch combination with wonton soup, fried rice and Szechuan chicken flavored mildly. Extremely satisfied today and so happy to have given them a second chance. Maybe the last time was a misunderstanding. Try their food. It was excellent and I took half home for another meal.

It's our first time ordering chinese takeout from South China. The food is pretty good here. The service is quick even when they are super busy. We ordered the Seafood Pan Fried Noodles and Pork Egg foo young combo. They didn't mess up our order. It tasted what it should be like. It's a little long drive for us but it's better than the other chinese restaurant.

My family and I have been ordering from South China for years now and I have to say that I've never had a restaurant be as outstanding with my order, especially having such a large family and such specific needs for every individual here. They always go above and beyond to make our huge order extra special. The food is always perfect and my favorite "Hot Oil" sauce on the side is perfect for just about everything. Most importantly, Crystal, who always answers the phone when we call has an amazing personality and aside from always being such a delight to talk to, she knows exactly how to make me feel like our order is extra special. Makes me feel relaxed knowing that thanks to Crystal, the dinner for my family and I is going to be perfect and everyone is going to be happy, so kudos to her for her hard work all the time. It's hard to please everyone in my household but when it comes to ordering from them I can rest assured that even my teenagers are not complaining.

I see Chinese food and Chinese food establishments in a whole different light then I do any other kind of cuisine. Basically, if I don't find a bug in my food and there is nothing floating in my water glass, then they already get 3 stars. I am extremely extremely picky as to where I get Chinese food from. I think this stems back from my childhood when I went out with my family to a "high end" Chinese food establishment... I found a HUGE beetle in my chicken and broccoli. Yep, that was a moment that scared me for life. As a result, there are only a handful of places in which I will dine for some Chinese. South China being one of them. South China is your basic Chinese food restaurant. They have the silk flowers adorning the front, big pictures of coy fish decorating the walls and paper zodiac place mats. Charming in its predictability. The food is good, the menu too is exactly what you would expect. They do have great lunch specials. For somewhere between 5-8 bucks, depending on what your order, you get your dish (which is a very large portion), soup, rice and can't forget about that fortune cookie. Will the food blow your mind? Meh, not really. But comparatively, it is very good and it is served promptly and with a smile. I like my Chinese food in the same fashion I like Mexican.. cheap, plentiful and with some mystery as to whether the chicken you're eating is really cat. Just joshing about the cat thing, but the first two stand. And you definitely get lots of food for a small price here, but it does not lack in quality. Since my family and I have been coming here for years now, they already know that my dad likes extra duck sauce and spicy mustard, so they bring out extra and set it right in front of him without us having to ask. It is the little things like that which make a difference. If you live or are staying in the area, South China is recommended.

Busy restaurant with fast service. Their portions are big and their soups are included in all of the dinner choices not just the combination meals. Hot & Sour Soup was perfectly balanced with lots of vegetables and tofu. The egg rolls were tastier than most. The honey garlic chicken had huge pieces of chicken with pineapple and the sauce drizzled over it. The pepper steak was traditional with tender beef and crispy green peppers. They have unique vegetarian and diet dishes. I ordered Lo Han Chai which is sauteed clear noodles, lily flowers, wood ears, snow pea pods, mushrooms, baby corn, carrots, bamboo shoots and fresh vegetables. It was hot, fresh, delicious and plentiful! The decor is outdated mauve pink with framed Chinese art from the 80's and a huge fish tank in the middle of the room but the booths were comfortable. The highlight was out waiter who was able to memorize our order without writing anything down. He came back five minutes later, looked my husband in the eye as if he was calling him by his name and said, you pepper steak. Then he looked at my son and said, you honey garlic chicken. He didn't look at me but he got my order right!

This is one of the only Chinese restaurants in the cooper city area. The decor inside is extremely dated and super cheesy (pink table cloths). The service is usually friendly and they seem to get stuff out pretty fast. The food is less than amazing, very very greasy and drowned in different sauces. If it isn't fried or swimming in grease you probably won't find it in this establishment. I find the whole restaurant to have an unclean feel to it, you'll know what I am talking about if you ever go behind the restaurant. I am always curious to know what goes into my food and I think eating here, you'll never know. Besides all this, I really think the quality of food is missing. Just by tasting the food you can tell it was bought from the lowest bidder. Seeing beyond the horrible decor and mediocre food, the price is cheap especially with the combos. Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city.
